Introduction
BluIP is pleased to announce that it has enabled enterprise voice for Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is the chat-centered workspace that is integrated with Office 365. It gives teams instant access to everything they need in a dedicated hub for teamwork where chat, content, people, and tools live together in Office 365. Microsoft Teams is designed for highly engaged teams that work closely together to get things done:
- Chat with an individual or hold a party chat with multiple people.
- Create Teams to bring together a group of people to work closely to get things done.
- Create Channels within Teams to organize the team's conversation.
- Create and send meetings directly from Teams.
- Upload and share files within channels.
- Make and receive calls directly from Teams.
BluIP’s Teams Integration enables end-customers to leverage their existing investment in their MS E5 License Bundle. In doing so, this drives down the overall IT spend by combining software and telecom into a single Cloud Calling for Teams solution. Organizations no longer need to allocate separate budgets for software and telecom.
Large enterprises with 500+ users never migrate from their existing phone system to another overnight. A migration of 500+ users is done in phases using “Tie-Lines” that connect the two phone systems during the migration. BluIP is a carrier, therefore, building Tie-Lines into the existing PBX that connects to the MS Teams environment makes for a smooth transition with minimal disruption to end-users. This also enables extension-to-extension dialing to and from each environment during a migration.
Microsoft Teams delivers unparalleled Teaming and Collaboration Features. Microsoft Teams does not deliver Advanced Add-on Applications such as IVR, Omni-Channel Contract Center, and Open API’s for custom applications. BluIP’s Advance Application Services includes Omni-Channel Contact Center, IVR, and much more. BluIP’s augmentation of Microsoft Teams allows organizations to decommission their hardware-based add-on applications and replace them with the latest cloud-based version.
Teams
Teams are the overall group of people working on a project. They can range in size from a small product team to a larger organization. See Item 1.
Channels
Teams are made up of Channels, each covering a different topic. Only Channels in your favorites will show up in the left pane, other channels will show up if there is a notification for you. The remaining channels can be accessed by clicking more. See Item 2.
Chat
By selecting Chat along the left side of the application, you can have private conversations with your teammates. See Item 3.
Group Chat
Simply click the new chat icon and type the names of the people you want to add to a conversation. You can add up to nine people in a group chat. See Item 4.
Start a Meeting
In a channel conversation, click the Meet Now icon in the compose box. Or, keep all the context of an existing conversation by clicking the Meet Now icon in the reply box. See Item 5.

Make and Receive Phone Calls
With BluIP's enterprise grade voice service coupled with Microsoft Teams, you get a platform that combines workplace chat, meetings, notes, and attachments with the ability to make and receive both internal and external phone calls with your own DID for a complete office experience. See Item 7.
Microsoft License Requirements
Cloud Calling for Microsoft Teams requires the user to be licensed with Microsoft Office 365 E5/M5 or E3 + Phone System.

BluIP License Requirements
The following Service Packs are available in Orion. Each cloud calling user must purchase the Cloud Calling for Microsoft Teams service pack. There is a one-time activation charge for each enterprise. The Teams Enterprise Activation is waived with enterprises of 100+ users.

Integrates BluIP PSTN calling with Microsoft Teams. Allows the Microsoft Teams user the ability to make extension-extension dialing and make and receive phone calls from the PSTN. Each Cloud Calling for Microsoft Teams includes 1 DID and 5000 MoU of outbound calling and unlimited inbound calling. Voicemail capabilities including transcription is included with E5/M5 Office 365 license. Outbound calling includes Local and Long Distance calls anywhere in the continental US, Hawaii, and Canada. Outbound dialing to Alaska will be billed per Off Shore rates posted on the BluIP Partner Resource Center. International dialing is not included. Included outbound minutes are aggregated over all seats in the Enterprise. All usage plans are subject to “intended use” limitations which restrict uses such as “auto-dialers” and outbound call centers generating atypical, high-volume usage. |

- LNP (Local Number Portability) – Charges may apply when moving existing telephone number(s) from your current telecommunications provider to BluIP. Please note that this additional charge may apply to all telephone numbers being ported, whether or not they are currently in use.
- E911 (Emergency Calling) – If your company has remote workers, additional charges may apply for the E911 calling service. For example, this additional fee applies to every employee located outside of the organization’s main office.
