Accurate and complete subscriber information is essential when porting telephone numbers. Also, the authorized user on the account is the signature required on the letter of authorization (LOA). A billing telephone number (BTN) is also very important when completing an LOA. If the information listed on the LOA does not match the information on file with the current service provider, the LNP order will be rejected and the order will need to be resubmitted with the necessary corrections. When a LNP request is resubmitted, the porting interval starts over from the beginning.
