How to - Add Another Customer (Group) To An Existing Enterprise

The steps below, will guide you through adding a new group to an existing enterprise.  This process should only be used when adding a customer that does not already exist in the portal.

NOTE: At this time, only hosted customers can be provisioned in BroadSoft via the Orion customer set-up process.

Trunking customers still require set-up via a paper-based trunking order form.  Contact provisioning@bluip.com for the order form.

Search for the Enterprise Account you want to add a customer

  • In the search bar, type in the name of your customer that you need to add a new group.  A minimum of two accounts will be returned during this search.  One will have a "Role" of Enterprise and the other(s) will have a "Role" of Customer.
  • Select the Enterprise account by clicking on the "Account" name (hyperlink)

Add New Customer Information

Notice the message in RED at the top of the order form. When you are placing an order for a new Enterprise or adding a new Customer to an existing Enterprise, you will see the message (in RED) as shown in the screen shot below. If you are adding services to an existing customer, you will not see this message.

Billing Start Date - BluIP allows you to select a billing date in the future to give you time to port numbers or turn up a circuit before billing starts for this customer.  This date can be changed once the actual activation date is known.

Customer Information - Fill out all information  (see example below)

Domain name - even though not outlined in red, should be included.  Do not include "www."

Time Zone - Everything is date and time sensitive, so be sure to include the customer's time zone.

Notes - Enter any special provisioning information.  For example - IP Fax information, email addresses(s), telephone number(s) that are porting, phone numbers that need to be set up for Smart Record service.

  • Select an Order Type from the drop-down menu (at the end of these instructions is a list of the packages included in each Order Type)
  • Select Add Package button
  • From the drop-down list, select all packages desired from this Order Type by placing a check mark in the box to the left of the package name
  • Select Add Selected  Repeat this process for all packages desired within each Order Type
  • If you need to order DID's (see "Ordering DIDs" instructions below)
  • When order is complete, select Save Order

NOTE:  The number of DID's that come at no charge with the packages ordered will be listed under the "Add Package" button (see "Total available to select 2 Total selected")

  • Select Select DIDs
  • Enter the NPA and NXX for the service area
  • Select the DID you want by placing a check mark in the box to the left of the DID
  • If the numbers are for Trunking, place a check mark in the box to the right of the DID in the "Is For Trunking" column
  • If there are no numbers to choose from or not enough numbers, enter the quantity of DID's you need in the box to the right of Enter the number of backordered DIDs
  • Select Order
  • Then select Save Order
